We headed out Wednesday around 1pm and set our course east, to the coast. Maine is one of the most beautiful places to live, and you have everything here! Mountains, valleys, lakes, and rocky coastline. I love living here. My mother in law has a wonderful little house on the coast a little less than 2 hours from here. She and her husband are very gracious and share this place with family and friends. It's one of our all time favorite spots to go! (Not to mention it's cheap since the lodging is free and it comes with a fully stocked house!) It's just so quiet out there and tons of wildlife to see and places to explore. One tradition we have started is walking to the point at Sunset the first evening we are there. (The house is on a dead end road with a cove at the end) So here are the pictures from day #1.
