A Favor

A good friend of mine asked if I could take her picture today for a Christmas gift for her mom. Of course I said YES! (She's always watching my kids for free, she's awesome)
We were losing light fast but I was able to snap a few before it got too dark. It actually worked out because I had no glare off her glasses. I really like this picture because it shows her "real" self, just what makes her beautiful :-)

Finally Done!

My 2 Seniors I did are finally all done and about to be burned to a cd. I'm glad because I have 2 more Seniors this Saturday and I really wanted to finish up with these guys before moving onto the next job.

So here are a few more to leave you with. I tried a "softglow" effect on the bottom. i really like it. Although, I personally am in love with the middle picture. It's my favorite from the shoot. ( of her)

Thanks to EVERYONE who's told me how nice these are and how much they like them. I really am still learning and it's nice to hear that I didn't totally screw up! Your support really means a lot to me. So- thanks!

The Change of Season

Just a few pictures of leaves I took this afternoon. I am always fascinated with the different colors. I only wish they would stay that color longer!

It Came!!

2 Days early even!

The new EOS 30D Canon is here!!

A Picture I Love!

I have posted it before in color, but I really, really like it in black and white. I also have this same picture for Tiny man in the sidebar.

I just love this picture.
So I wanted to share....

He is so stinkin' cute!

My Camera Went Back

So I'm getting another one. I did a couple Senior picture sessions last Saturday and noticed my new 450D gave my color pictures a *slight green tint to them. So, I sent it back. And I ordered a new one.
The canon Rebel 30D, the one i wanted from the beginning. I was able to borrow this model for the wedding I did back in June and I LOVEd it. So, a little extra money and I have my own 30D on the way! I'm very excited. It shipped today so I should have it Monday or Tuesday!

Homeschool Co-Op - 1st Day of Class!

We met last Friday, the12th for our first day of classes! We were all very excited. The Co-op is broken into 2 time periods. My older 2 have Science and then Art & Art Appreciation. My younger ones have Music and Nature Studies and then P.E & Health. I took these during our Music and nature Studies. They learned the life cycle of a grasshopper. They were given a live grasshopper in a clear plastic container along with a magnifying glass. the kids were so cute and loved looking closely at the grasshopper. It was a wonderful class and the teacher did an amazing job. This is going to be a great school year for my kids!

The Fort... And Tree Climbers

My kids built a "fort" on Sunday. Isn't it cute? They were so proud of themselves! It's made of mostly sticks and leaves. but just for a few "homey" touches, Sassy Pants added a blanket, a few stuffed animals, and some home made wind chimes/suncatchers. (See them hanging from the tree?) I thought it was adorable and thought I'd share.

The kids are also becoming very good tree climbers! I admit, I am a bit uncomfortable with just *how high they are willing to climb....

And who says princesses can't climb trees?

The Mushroom Hat

Isn't this hat ridiculous? Tiny man came into the room and I *had* to take his picture. No doubt Sassy Pants put it on him :-)
Doesn't it remind of the Old School Nintendo video game? you know- that little mushroom guy?

What Do you Think?

I finally changed my blog a bit... I really like it. Although I had a hard time with the colors- any suggestions to change anything? I want to keep the green background. It was hard to find a template for all my pictures to fit and not look crowded. I added pictures of my beautiful family along with "nicknames" that I will use from now on. So instead of saying "my oldest daughter" I will instead say "Sassy pants did so and so today..."

And no, you can't steal my idea! :-)

Spent way too much time on this project and must get back to my busy day. The sun is glorious today and I want to finish up school so I can go hang with my wonderful friend and her 2 kiddos at the playground.

There's nothing Like A Good friend

CK Model #1

It took her a while to warm up to the camera, but once she did, we had a blast! She is such fun person who is easy to laugh with and has a charm about her. She also has amazing eyes! She brought her puppy Molly, to be in a couple shots with her. Molly wasn't very enthusiastic, but she handled it ok.

Working with these Seniors makes me feel young again! I had a great time today and the time just flew by!

My CK Model #2

My other Senior was so natural behind my lens, it made working with him so easy. I was able to capture many great shots without have to take a lot. He loves to draw and is very talented! I love this shot of him with his sketchpad. It's definitely one of my favorites!

To Make You feel My Love

Happy Birthday My Love!

Yes, there are really *30* candles on your cake!

Look at the smoke roll off that thing!

My Husband wasn't the only one who enjoyed cake :-)
